One fashion clothing piece that is a must have for everyone, not just for girls, is the scarf. It serves as a way to keep you toasty around the neck area during the cold months and at the same time, it also acts as an accessory if worn right. So, how can you make the most out of this fall and winter must-have? You need to know how to wear this fashion clothing correctly. There are various ways to tie a scarf around your neck. Here are just a few of them.
The first one is the wrap and let lose method. You center the scarf at the back of your nape. Then, wrap the left scarf end over your head, after which, let it lose. Pull that end so that your scarves are of the same length. Repeat looping over your neck if you want to thicken your neck's protection. Or if you want more heat trapped around your neck, try this next scarf tying technique.
This next scarf tying technique is usually called the European scarf knot. The trick to this tying style is that you begin with the wrap and let lose procedure, making sure you end after the first loop. After centering the scarf, take the left tail end and loop it inside the scarf wrapped around your neck, putting it inside of the loop from the top. Do the same for the right end tail.
Another popular scarf tying method is the ascot tie. For this step, fold the scarf in half. Next, take the looped part, hang it on your nape and hold that close to your neck and face. While holding the looped part, take the inner tail hanging from your left side and put it inside the loop. Once that is done, loop the other tail making sure it stays on top of the initial tail.
The fourth type of scarf tying method is lovingly called the turtleneck method as the finished product looks a lot like turtleneck shirts. The first step to complete this is to drape the scarf over your nape with the two tails hanging loosely on either sides. Next, take the left end and wrap it around your neck, letting it fall down your left front area. Center the scarf back in place. Take the two tails and make a loose knot, making sure the knot portion is centered on the front part of your neck. Lastly, pull the already looped part of the scarf, the part resting on your neck, on top of the knot to fully hide it from view. Spread this loop out so that it covers your full neck from outside view and at the same time, it covers the knot you made earlier. Pat the loop down to make sure it has a smooth finish. This works best if the scarf was ironed beforehand.
The scarf is truly an indispensable item in one's wardrobe. It is a fashion clothing item that you need to learn to use correctly in order to maximize its aesthetic benefit.
